Caroline Baca-Vecchio, a Latina visual artist from Fresno, received her Bachelors in Art from Fresno State University. She also plans to graduate this spring with an MFA in Painting from the Academy of Art University. In her current body of work Caroline explores the concept of wonderment and awe through the eyes of the child. She is inspired by the natural appreciation children seem to have for the simple things in life, like polished river stones, and the feeling of flying on a swing set. Caroline has worked as an Art teacher for in K-12 schools for 11 years, teaching children of military families overseas, and students in her hometown of Fresno.
