My name is Alyssa Burns and I’m from southern New Hampshire. When I decided to study Motion Pictures and Television (MPT) at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, I drove across the country checking off as many states and national parks as I could (visiting every state and national park in the U.S. is high on my bucket list).

I love watching movies, reading, getting in my yoga routine and hiking as often as possible. While I am currently a working editor, I also have aspirations of directing, having had the opportunity to do so on last summer's MPT webseries, Sons and Daughters, currently in post-production. I have a passion for narrative filmmaking, especially telling character-driven stories. My goal is to become that rare director, who edits.
