Megan Aly is an artist and art teacher, pursuing an MFA in Fine Art, Emphasis in Drawing and Painting at AAU. Her work currently focuses on realistic figures and still life drawing and painting. She strives to capture the modern spirit of the figure or still life in her work while maintaining a sense of realism with a nod to old masters. Megan moved to San Diego, CA in 2020 from Iowa. She has a B.A. in Art with Honors in Art and graduated with academic honors from the University of Iowa School of Art & Art History in 2013. Megan has been teaching Art K-12 since 2013. She is licensed to teach Art K-12 and Talented and Gifted (TAG) K-12. She has taught art to all ages in public and private schools, weekend workshops, summer camps, after school programs, museum programs, and adult classes. Megan founded an online art school to teach online art lessons called Pacific Paintbrush. She is still teaching while doing graduate school full time.
