Butterfly Statement Necklace:
The Butterfly Statement Necklace is made up entirely of individual detachable elements. They are essentially just one design that is repeatedly laser cut out from acrylic in two sizes and in two colors - white and translucent yellow. One can come up with many variations depending on how the individual detachable pieces are interlocked with one another. Each piece has four different places/positions that they can interlock with another piece so the wearer can adjust the tightness of the necklace and the number of angularities in the design just by deciding on how and where to attach each element. I have shown some examples on how you can change and play with the design of necklace to make it your own.

Windy Day Serendipity Ring Set:
The theme for this Windy Day Serendipity ring set is fateful encounter and depicts a typical romantic scene of how lovers meet each other for the first time. The 3 laser cut rings form a scene when worn from left to right in this order: Cloud blowing wind, Lady loses her hat, Gentleman catches her hat and that is how they met each other. I have cut out the designs in various ring sizes so that the aquamarine-colored acrylic rings can be worn on different fingers on both left and right hands.

Melissa Yenny Liman is currently continuing her studies in the MFA Fashion Design program after earning her MA degree in Fashion in AAU in the fall of 2021. She also has a Bachelor degree in Business and is residing in Singapore.
