Jewelry & Metal Arts / MFA

My educational experience is a little more special than that of ordinary students. I started to learn to draw when I was in junior high school, and I continued to learn to draw and draw until I was in high school. That's when my parents started suggesting that I go to Italy to study art, and I was accepted to the Italian Academy of Fine Arts. But because I don't know Italian, I refused to go to Italy to learn painting. And I took the college entrance examination in China, because there are very few schools in China that specialize in jewelry design, so I can only choose visual communication design. But I didn't like this major, so I chose to drop out to study in the UK after two months of study.

While studying in the UK I found that education is different in every school in every country and I became interested in the direction of the American way of education. So I chose to come to the United States as a graduate student. I think I have found my future direction. In the future, I want to continue to study for a Ph.D. and return to mainland China to become a university jewelry design teacher after graduation. Since I have been educated in three different countries: China, the UK and the US, I find this educational experience invaluable. I'd like to share what I've learned from this, and I'd like to help some future aspiring jewelry designers with some good guidance.
